Our mission is to empower people to improve their own lives, and the lives of the community around them. Here is the proof that we have.
The Run Club began in the winter, running through Christmas, New Year and Easter, the times when families gather and share what they have. So we asked members to bring in the exact items the Food Bank had told us were urgently needed. People turned up at Rohan's house, and at Run Club, with bags full of food. Over £500 worth was collected for local people facing hardship.
When the storms came and the temperature dropped below zero, the community thought about the people sleeping out in it. Run Club is free, so instead of a fee we asked people to look in their cars and their wallets for whatever loose change they had. Small change, to create big change. Over £200 of it. With support from Mountain Warehouse that bought just under 20 items of the most protective winter clothing, alongside clothing donated by the community, and a further £100 of sponsorship paid for warm, nutritious meals from Tortilla. Members of the community then drove to Birmingham and handed all of it over in person.
This was the proof of what the Run Club had built. People who had never done anything like it ran 13.1 miles together, and the community carried each other round. Over 10 people completed their first ever half marathon. The money went to three causes the community chose themselves, because of what those causes have meant to people within it: The Shakespeare Hospice, Prostate Cancer UK, and Change Grow Live.
On 28 May 2026, ten runners from our Stratford community ran 52km along the canal, from the centre of town to the doors of Birmingham Children's Hospital, on the hottest recorded day of the year. The Mayor of Stratford sent them off.
Where it all began
Rohan's nana died after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease, at 80 years old. She had spent her life caring for animals, quietly giving to dog charities every month, even when she had very little herself.
So Rohan ran 80 miles around Stratford-upon-Avon, one mile for every year she lived. More than 30 people from the town ran alongside him, almost 400 miles between them, and along the way some completed their first marathons and their first ultramarathons. The run raised nearly £11,000 for the street dogs in India, the cause she gave to all her life.
That was the morning the Run Club was born, and it has grown into everything you see here. Pain turned into purpose. What started as a run became belief, belief became connection, and connection became community.
What we do
Free at the point of entry, open to everyone, 52 weeks a year.
A space to be intentional about how you start the week. Show up, find real connection, and become a positive light in your world for the rest of the day. All paces welcome.
Growth lives just outside your comfort zone… so on Wednesdays we climb hills, together. Every one of us is racing the only opponent that matters: ourselves. Regroup at the summit for the view, and the perspective it brings to our lives. All abilities welcome, no one left behind.
Seminars and open training, open to all levels. Twenty or more people every week, a space to connect, learn, and build strength, discipline and confidence together.
A space for the town and the wider community to be inspired, hosted at Crowne Plaza Stratford. Hear from speakers, thinkers and people who have overcome real adversity, and connect over what we can all learn from them.
Guided hikes and retreats around the UK. The idea is simple: get people into nature, slow down, and let the vastness of it do what it does - shift perspective, create space. Most people don't realise how much they needed it until they're standing in it.
Community give-back days for the Stratford Foodbank and people sleeping rough. The times we take the community beyond the town.

Known as CP Truths, Joe is a disability awareness influencer and a two time world record holder. Told as a boy that he would never walk, he climbed Snowdon with us for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This is his film.
“I almost died four years ago.” Three surgeries, a Type 1 diabetes diagnosis and 75% of his pelvis gone - then a 75km ultra and two shots at the height of Everest. Nathan's story is proof that resilience isn't about avoiding the storm; it's about learning to grow inside it.
Jim is 71, part of our community, and has backed The Mission Planet since before it had a name. Twenty years ago a health scare changed everything. His film is about one simple truth, that it is never too late to start.

Living with cerebral palsy has shown me that the hardest climbs aren't always the mountains. But climbing Mount Snowdon with Rohan and Tom is something I'll never forget. They believed in me from day one, treated me like any other person, and gave me the confidence to push further than I thought I could. I always hated running because of my asthma... crazy how just going on Monday morning runs for 9 weeks has changed how I see things.
