We Are The Mission Planet

A community that meets every week to move, to give back, and to prove that ordinary people, choosing to act, can create extraordinary change.

A glimpse

The community we are building, here in Stratford-upon-Avon

Every week, in all weathers, people show up. This is what it looks like.

Why we are here

It started with a handful of people at 5am

The Mission Planet is a Community Interest Company based in Stratford-upon-Avon. It began with a simple belief, that ordinary people, when they care enough, can create extraordinary change.

What started as a small group meeting at 5am on a Monday has become a community of more than 150 local people. We run together, train together, and give back together, every week of the year.

The run club, the hill runs and the martial arts seminars and open training are free at the point of entry, open to anyone in the town, whatever their pace or starting point. Ages range from 16 to 72.

This page is about the work we do right here in Stratford. Real people, showing up, caring deeply, and taking action, week after week.

Impact in action

The Birmingham Children's Hospital 50k Ultra

On 28 May 2026, ten runners from our Stratford community ran 52km along the canal, from the centre of town to the doors of Birmingham Children's Hospital, on the hottest recorded day of the year. The Mayor of Stratford sent us off, and the whole town got behind them, donating, sharing, and lining the route to cheer.

It is the clearest picture we can give of what this community becomes when it decides to act. People who meet for a 5am run in the dark turned that same commitment into thousands of pounds for children who need it. The page is still open, and every pound still goes straight to the hospital.

Living with cerebral palsy has shown me that the hardest climbs aren't always the mountains. But climbing Mount Snowdon with Rohan and Tom is something I'll never forget. They believed in me from day one, treated me like any other person, and gave me the confidence to push further than I thought I could. What they're building with The Mission Planet is genuine and inspiring.

What Ro and Tom are building is something special, exactly what the world needs. To lead by example, with integrity. To be the change. They listened with open hearts and true compassion, and made me feel safe to speak my truth, with no worry of judgement. To be working with these two has been such a blessing.

When I first met Rohan, I was struck by his compassion and his refusal to simply accept the norm. He is an incredibly empathetic soul who gives his all. If The Mission Planet represents the younger generation, then there is true hope for a kinder, better world.
